Captain of Destiny(張保仔) is a TVB period fantasy action drama series directed by Leung Choi Yuen(梁材遠) starring Ruco Chan(陳展鵬), Tony Hung(洪永城), Grace Chan(陳凱琳), Maggie Shiu(邵美琪), Kelly Fu(傅嘉莉), Mandy Wong(黃智雯), Elaine Yiu(姚子羚), Joel Chan(陳山聰), Law Lok Lam(羅樂林), Elliot Ngak(岳華), Susan Tse(謝雪心), Stephen Wong(黃嘉樂), Cilla Kung(樂瞳), Katy Kung(龔嘉欣), and Oceane Zhu(朱璇).

Synopsis:
While chasing after a robber, Hong Kong police officer [Wong Tai Mui/黃娣妹(Grace Chan/陳凱琳)] accidentally gets caught in a whirlpool and she is transported back in time to Qing Dynasty. Initially, she has a strong dislike when she meets with the great Hong Kong pirate [Cheung Po Tsai/張保仔(Tony Hung/洪永城)]. After working together, they eventually become an inseparable pair.

Meanwhile, the 11th prince of the Qing dynasty [Man Ho/旻皓(Ruco Chan/陳展鵬)] sends out imperial Chinese navy to capture Cheung Po Tsai. After numerous bloody battles, Wong Tai Mui is captured instead while protecting Cheung Po Tsai. Even though the 11th prince has an obnoxious personality, he eventually falls in love with her due to her modern intellect. He is willing to give up his chance to become the next emperor in order to be with her.

Eventually, Wong Tai Mui returns to modern time during a near death experience. But unfortunately she loses her memory during her time travel. To regain her precious memory back, she will have to find it in the modern time...

  1. Linda Chung would have been a better choice than Grace Chan. Grace is too young to play Ruco and Tony's love interest.
